Woman sought independence and found community

Ascension Place, Inc. operates three programs in North Minneapolis—Ascension Place, St. Anne’s Place and Next Step Housing. Ascension Place is a transitional housing program for women, Next Step Housing is a permanent housing program for graduates of Ascension Place and St. Anne’s Place is a supportive emergency shelter for homeless women with children.

Ascension Place Launches Next Step Housing!

Ascension Place is excited to be taking our work to end homelessness one step further by launching our Next Step Housing Program—our new permanent, supportive housing program for women who face barriers of mental illness, chemical dependency and domestic violence. Next Step Housing will give women who have graduated from Ascension Place an opportunity to live independently while continuing to receive support from our staff and other Next Step residents.
